This supervisor training course is designed for all personnel who are responsible for the design of safe working practices, overall responsibility and supervision of personnel entering into confined spaces. It will provide the delegates with a thorough understanding of confined spaces and legislation without actually entering a confined space themselves.

Upon completion of the course, delegates will be competent in the following:-

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the legal requirements surrounding confined space operations.
  • Identify a confined space and its reasonable foreseeable risks.
  • Implement control measures to either eliminate or reduce the potential risks.
  • Organising and implementing appropriate accident and emergency procedures.
  • Identify the wide range of confined space safety equipment and its uses.
  • Select appropriate methods of risk control.


Delegates who successfully complete this course will receive a card and a certificate. These are both valid for 3 years.
