ECITB High Risk Confined Space Entry Training

ECITB High Risk Confined Space Entry Training

Course Reference ECITBHIG

This course is designed to enable a competent person to conduct a risk assessment prior to gaining entry into a confined space, therefore ensuring all specified risks have been identified which will ensure suitable and sufficient control measures have been implemented, allowing the risk to remain as low as reasonably practicable. Where this is not possible entry may be gained using full duration breathing apparatus; this course covers set description and fault finding following a general check, donning and starting procedures, followed by safe doffing procedures upon exiting for hazardous area and air line systems. The course covers a broad range of structures including shafts, vessels, tunnels, voids etc. using a man-riding winch and retrieval device connected to a davit or tripod to gain entry. Rope systems can also be used depending upon the clients requirements. The training is general to working within a confined space and working at height but focus’s very much on the industrial/urban environment.
