Purpose statement:
An Emergency Rescue Team consists of highly trained and equipped professionals who specialise in rescuing individuals from hazardous areas, working at height and confined spaces. These teams are proficient in various rescue techniques to safely extract individuals who are trapped, injured, or incapacitated in environments with limited access, restricted movement, or dangerous conditions. Their expertise includes risk assessment, atmospheric monitoring, rope rescue, and the use of specialised equipment to ensure efficient and safe rescue operations.

Duties And Responsibilities
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
To ensure as far as is reasonably practicable, ensure personal health and safety and health and safety of others.
Participate in Total Safety QHSE & LPS awareness events and contribute to the improvement of the QHSE Management System & LPS.
Strict adherence to Total Safety Core Values & Behaviours.
Employee should contact his/her line manager with any concerns regarding any issues, concerns or suggestions for improvement.
Project Delivery
Prioritise the safety of clients, visitors, and employees at all times.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Health & Safety regulations and the agreed work programme.
Under the direction of the ERT Team Lead, execute ERT projects in accordance with relevant project documentation, including:
Risk Assessed Method Statement
Rescue Plans
Shift Rota & Planning
Maintain all equipment and tools in a serviceable condition, ensuring they are properly maintained, fit for use, and that servicing/maintenance records are kept up to date.
Product & Legislation Awareness
Comprehensive understanding of related product & services, including but not restricted to CCSM, ERT, Training, Gas Detection & Fall Arrest product.
Excellent understanding of HSE guidelines in respect of Confined Space, Working at Height and associated emergency rescue products and techniques applicable to clients and contractors.
Liaise with TS UK Team to ensure that client & project support material is up to date and relevant.
When it is considered necessary or appropriate by management you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.
Measurement criteria
Successful completion of site inductions.
Team feedback and annual appraisals.
Compliance with the requirements of the QOHSE & LPS management system.
Completion of QOHSE training courses as required for the role.
Involvement & participation in Daily Coordination meetings and Toolbox Talks (when site based).
Client feedback.
QHSE / LPS reviews & audits.

Qualifications and skills
Confined space training, minimum requirement: -C&G 6160-03 High Risk, C&G 6160-08 Rescue & Recovery
Working at heights training, C&G, ECITB or equivariant.
FREC 3 or First Aid at Work or HSE Offshore First Aid as a minimum.
Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
Good working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word and Excel.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Able to work alone or as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Trained and competent breathing apparatus and gas detection.
Trained and competent in the use of breathing air compressors & trailers.
Physical and additonal requirements
Good level of physical fitness.
The ability to wear PPE correctly for a portion of the working day (e.g. site visit ).
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Ability to work in noisy workplaces.
Must hold a full valid driving licence.
