Purpose statement:
The Total Safety Trainers & Assessors role is a senior leadership position with full accountability for the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of industrial safety training courses. These courses include, but are not limited to, confined space rescue, working at height, CCNSG Safety Passport, and PFPE. The role ensures high training standards for both clients and Total Safety employees, maintaining best practices in safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
To ensure as far as is reasonably practicable, ensure personal health and safety and health and safety of others.
Participate in Total Safety QHSE & LPS awareness events and contribute to the improvement of the QHSE Management System & LPS.
Strict adherence to Total Safety Core Values & Behaviours.
Employee should contact his/her line manager with any concerns regarding any issues, concerns or suggestions for improvement.
Training Course Delivery and Administration
Assist in welcoming delegates and visitors to the training centre, provide site QHSE information and ensure their needs / requirements are met.
Assist in setting up training rooms and ensure training rooms are well presented and equipped with required tools and equipment.
Ensure training equipment and tools are well maintained and fit for use, ensuring servicing /maintenance records are updated.
Administration in association with the preparation and delivery of training courses.
Assess training feedback forms to ensure any improvement requirements are identified and implemented.
Comply with lesson plans and risks assessments in the delivery of the courses
Periodically evaluate training programs to ensure that they reflect any legislative changes.
To assist in the development of course material, including lesson plans, risk assessments, method statements etc.

Stay abreast with current legislation and industry best practice.
Comply with lesson plans and risks assessments in the delivery of the courses.
Product & Legislation Awareness
Comprehensive understanding of related product & services, including but not restricted to CCSM, ERT, Training, Gas Detection & Fall Arrest product.
Excellent understanding of HSE guidelines in respect of Confined Space, Working at Height and associated training requirements applicable to clients and contractors.
Liaise with TS UK Training Team to ensure that client support material is up to date and relevant.

Completion of QOHSE training courses as required for the role.

Qualifications and skills
Confined space training, C&G and ECITB
Working at heights training, C&G, ECITB or equivariant.
Proven experience in designing, delivering, and working within these specialist areas.
Proven ability to master the full training cycle.
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.
Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
Good working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word and Excel.
Good leadership, organisation, and management skills.
Good oral and written communication skills
Able to work alone or as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Trained and competent breathing apparatus and gas detection equipment technician.
Trained and competent in the use of breathing air compressors.
Experienced in presenting training courses (Level 3 teaching award).
Experienced in assessing delegates (Level 3 assessors award).
Physical and additonal requirements
Internal verifiers award (Level 3) (desirable).
Working at height trained – IRATA (desirable).
NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable).
The ability to wear PPE correctly for a portion of the working day.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Ability to spend several hours a day standing to carry out work activities.
Ability to carry out shift work patterns (long working hours, day, and night shifts).
Ability to work in noisy workplaces (e.g. when visiting client sites).
Ability to work in hazardous environments.
Ability to see and response to dangerous situations.
Ability to carry out manual handling operations.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Must hold a full valid driving licence.
